du MIT Media Lab à la création de l'œuvre intitulée « La Voix des Opprimés » (2022). Inspirée par l'ouvrage « La Pédagogie des opprimés » de Paulo Freire, qui dénonce l'injustice sociale ayant conduit à la déshumanisation et à l'objectification des individus,
Pataranutaporn a créé et entraîné deux intelligences artificielles, Kawitash1 et Kawitash2.
Tandis que Kawitash1 représente le contrôle, les structures, l'ordre et les règles,
Kawitash2 aspire à la libération et à la rupture du cycle d'exploitation.
« La Voix des Opprimés » (2022) comprend également une performance, des vidéos
et une installation sculpturale.
Dans la vidéo, le corps de Vatanajyankur est objectivé, transformé en machine à poudre. Contrôlé par Kawitash1, l'artiste souffle et inhale une fumée noire et âcre.
Parallèlement, dans la performance, l'artiste incarne un canon à eau tentant d'effacer la poudre, de nettoyer la suie.
Cet acte symbolise la tentative de l’artiste et de Kawitash2 de réhabiliter l’humanisation.

Inspirée par « La Pédagogie des opprimés », qui suggère que les opprimés ont peur de la liberté,
dont le sens reste mystérieux pour l'humanité, l'œuvre vidéo « La Voix des opprimés »
explore cette notion d'oppression, telle un nuage sombre qui rend l'air irrespirable.
Dans cette œuvre, le corps de Vatanajyankur se confond avec une mitrailleuse qui crache sans cesse
une poudre noire, recouvrant peu à peu la pièce blanche d'une poussière toxique et polluée :
symbole de violence et d'oppression perpétuelles.
Pour comprendre le sens de la liberté, il faut d'abord reconnaître et appréhender l'oppression,
afin d'agir à l'opposé.

MIT Media Lab in creating the work titled Voice of the Oppressed (2022).
Inspired by a literature The Pedagogy of the Oppressed written by Paulo Freire
which argues that the injustice of our society has led to the dehumanization and objectification of individuals, Pataranutaporn created and trained two artificial intelligences named Kawitash1 and Kawitash2. While Kawitash1 represents control, structures, orders and rules, Kawitash2 seeks liberation, and breaking the cycle of exploitation.Voice of the Oppressed (2022) also comprises of live performance, videos, and sculptural installation.
The video piece sees Vatanajyankur ‘s body objectified as a gun powder machine.
Controlled by Kawitash1, the artist blows and breathes black intoxicated smoke.
In parallel, the live performance sees the artist as a water canon attempting to erase the gun powder, cleansing the soot. The act symbolizes the artist’s and Kawitash2’s attempt
to redeem humanization.

The video work 'Voice of the Oppressed' is an act of reflecting the meaning of 'oppression', a dark cloud that makes the air uncomfortable to breathe. In this work, Vatanajyankur's body has merged into a machine-gun which constantly blows out a black gun powder and eventually covers the white, breathable room with polluted toxic dust; a symbolic of continuous violence and oppression.

Construite avec des vitres transparentes, la pièce a été conçue pour contenir la poudre noire polluée ainsi que l'eau lors de la performance de Vatanajyankur. Cette pièce vitrée de 3 x 3 m présente également l'œuvre vidéo « Voix des opprimés » en l'absence de l'artiste.
La mitrailleuse qui projette la poudre noire ou l'eau est exposée au centre de la boîte de verre, en souvenir de la performance extrême de l'artiste.
Deux intelligences artificielles sont présentées à côté de la boîte de verre ; elles dialoguent pendant 20 minutes (enregistrement préalable) sur le thème de l'oppression et de la liberté.

THE INSTALLATION
Constructed with clear glass windows, the room was designed to hold the polluted black
gun powder as well as the water inside during Vatanajyankur's live performance.
The glass room of 3x3 m also showcases 'Voice of the Oppressed' video work
while the artist is not present inside the box.
