Avec ce titre en forme de manifeste, Wolfgang Tillmans nous invite dans son monde,
déployé dans les espaces vacants de la Bibliothèque publique d'information.
L'architecture emblématique du Centre Pompidou entre ici en résonance avec le travail de l'artiste
sur la présence et l'histoire de la production des savoirs, offrant une expérience visuelle
et discursive singulière.
L'exposition retrace près de quarante ans de création artistique et embrasse l'ensemble de la pratique

de Tillmans. Telle une coupe transversale dans son œuvre photographique, l'accrochage ne suit pas
une logique chronologique mais s'élabore en dialogue avec l'architecture du lieu. En parallèle,
l'artiste y incorpore vidéos, musique, son, ainsi qu'un vaste corpus d'imprimés et d'objets personnels
issus de sa propre collection.

- un geste caractéristique de ses projets depuis le milieu des années 1990 - transformant les dispositifs existants et imaginant de nouvelles formes de présentation. L'artiste conçoit ainsi une installation globale, qui réinvente la manière dont la photographie est exposée.

Under this banner, Wolfgang Tillmans invites us into his world, unfolding in the vacant premises
of the Bibliothèque publique d'information, where the iconic architecture of the Centre Pompidou resonates with the artist's work on the presence and history of knowledge-making, shaping an original visual and discursive experience.
