Les jeunes artistes fils ou filles d'artistes reconnus font face à un dilemme, parfois inconscient : s'inscrire dans la filiation artistique ou bien s'en démarquer, afin de mieux exister en tant qu'auteur à part entière. Beaucoup éprouvent à un moment ou à un autre cette tension entre continuité et rupture.L'exposition présente quatre familles d'artistes du Congo-Kinshasa.
Moke fils (1968), qui comme son nom l'indique est le fils du célèbre Moke (1950-2001), a choisi l'héritage plein et entier. N'étant pas passé par une école d'art, il s'est formé uniquement dans l'atelier familial
et il peint comme son père. L'exposition présente deux de ses tableaux - dont Moke fils peint Moke père - qui encadrent une œuvre ancienne du père.
Raymond Tsham (1963), célèbre dessinateur au stylo à bille, compte deux enfants se destinant à la carrière artistique, dont Hilaire, 18 ans. Tout en exploitant la technique de son père, ainsi que son univers artistique fait de la confrontation entre les symboles de l'art africain ancestral et les icônes mondiales de l'art contemporain, le jeune homme développe un style fortement inspiré de l'univers des mangas.
