Pour l'exposition « Maternité » (2025), Keeta Isran, artiste basée à Narathiwat,
collabore avec Hayanee Malee, créatrice de mode de Pattani, pour créer une œuvre utilisant
des matériaux locaux, reflétant l'écologie sociale et le capital culturel des provinces frontalières
du sud de la Thaïlande.
En 2016, Keeta a fondé le Muslimah Collective, un groupe de femmes artistes visuelles qui utilisent matériaux et symboles pour aborder les questions sociales et les expériences complexes

et les responsabilités que les mères doivent assumer pour subvenir aux besoins de leur famille.

The large-scale sculpture Motherhood (2025) presents a symbolic image of the Muslimah identity through fabric, evoking a sense of concealment, emotional weight, and the responsibilities mothers are expected to bear in order to sustain their families.
Through a series of conversations among Muslimah women, a space for communal gathering is formed by housewives from Pattani and Narathiwat. This gives rise to shared stories conveyed through fabric, which are assembled and enveloped within a mixed-media fashion installation. The piece highlights intricate craftsmanship, using sewing techniques that interweave narrative and movement. The fragile elegance of concealment, and what it might reveal, is made visible through the presence of the work.

#หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ นำเสนอนิทรรศการ LOCAL MYTHS: ความงามตามพื้นเพ โดยโครงการ Local Networking Project ถือกำเนิดขึ้นในปี พ.ศ. 2568 ด้วยเป้าหมายสำคัญคือการเปิดพื้นที่ให้ศิลปินจากภูมิภาคต่างๆ ได้สำรวจและถ่ายทอดเรื่องเล่าของตนเองในรูปแบบของศิลปะร่วมสมัย โดยศิลปินจะได้ลงพื้นที่เพื่อสืบค้นตำนานท้องถิ่น เรื่องเล่าปากเปล่า ประวัติศาสตร์ที่มิได้ถูกจารึกในกระแสหลัก รวมถึงวิถีชีวิตร่วมสมัยของชุมชน แล้วนำข้อมูลที่ได้มาสร้างเป็นผลงานที่มีมิติของเวลา ความทรงจำ และความหมายเฉพาะถิ่น

#bacc, we are proudly presenting the “LOCAL MYTHS: The Intrinsic Aesthetic” exhibition - Established in 2025, the Local Networking Project was born out of the aspiration to offer a platform for regional artists to explore and narrate their own stories through contemporary art. The artists immerse themselves in local contexts – exploring myths, oral histories, undocumented narratives, and the contemporary lives of communities – before transforming these insights into artworks embedded with time, memory, and local-based meaning.

Within this context, the concept of The Intrinsic Aesthetic serves as the thematic framework for an initiative by the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). The project seeks to explore forms of beauty that emerge organically from the socio-cultural fabric of local communities.
